Core strategy

The Seeker's job

The Seeker wins by finding camouflaged Hiders before the round ends. Here's how to think about the role.

👁️ What the Seeker sees

As Seeker, you walk the map during the search phase. You're looking for anything that doesn't belong — a wrong color, a human outline, a movement. The map is full of flat surfaces; a camouflaged dummy is a flaw in that flatness.

🎯 The three detection signals

  • Color mismatch — dummy color ≠ surface color
  • Silhouette — human outline against a flat surface
  • Movement — any twitch during your sweep

A Hider failing any one of these is catchable. A Hider passing all three is nearly invisible — move on and come back.

Method

The 6-step Seeker sweep

Follow this method every round to systematically clear the map.

1

Check known OP spots first

Most Hiders hide in famous OP spots. Check these immediately at search start — you'll catch the lazy ones. OP spots are well-known from YouTube videos.

2

Scan for color mismatches

Walk the map looking for patches of color that don't match their surroundings. A green dummy on a brown wall is obvious once you train your eye to see mismatches.

3

Look for silhouettes and outlines

Even a color-matched dummy has a visible outline if it's standing. Look for human-shaped silhouettes against flat surfaces — the edge where the dummy meets the wall.

4

Watch for movement

Movement is the #1 giveaway. Hiders who flinch, adjust position, or panic-move are instantly visible. Sweep slowly and watch for any twitch.

5

Sweep systematically

Don't wander randomly. Cover the map in a pattern — one wall at a time, one room at a time. Systematic coverage ensures no spot is missed and saves time.

6

Re-check suspicious areas

If a spot looked slightly off but you weren't sure, circle back. Sometimes a second look from a different angle reveals a dummy you missed.

Counter-strategy

How to counter the best hiding spots

Hiders use OP, secret, and duo spots. Here's how to beat each one.

Counter OP spots

OP spots are famous — learn them from YouTube hiding-spot videos (Foltyn, KAYE, RoBros). Check each OP spot at search start. Even if the Hider is perfectly blended, your presence forces them to freeze; sometimes a second look from a different angle reveals them.

Counter plain-sight Hiders

Some Hiders hide in open areas with perfect color matches, betting you'll skip "obvious" spots. Slow down on open walls and floors — look for slight color inconsistencies or texture breaks. A perfect match is rare; most plain-sight Hiders have a tiny mismatch.

Counter duo spots

Two dummies are easier to spot than one. Look for adjacent color patches that shouldn't be there — two different colors meeting at a corner where the map shouldn't have that junction. If you spot one, the other is nearby.

Counter glitched spots

Glitched Hiders may clip into walls or fall outside the map. Look for body parts sticking through surfaces, or shadows in impossible places. These spots are risky for the Hider too — they may get stuck or patched.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about playing Seeker.

How do I win as Seeker in Chameleon Roblox?

Win as Seeker by: (1) checking known OP spots first, (2) scanning for color mismatches, (3) looking for silhouettes against surfaces, (4) watching for movement, and (5) sweeping the map systematically rather than randomly. Most Hiders hide in well-known spots — checking those first yields quick catches.

How do I spot camouflaged players in Chameleon Roblox?

Look for three things: (1) color mismatches — a patch of color that doesn't match the surface, (2) silhouettes — a human outline against a flat wall, and (3) movement — any twitch during your sweep. Color-matched, flat, still players are nearly impossible to find, so focus on those who fail one of these three.

What are the best Seeker strategies in Chameleon Roblox?

The Systematic Sweeper: check OP spots first, then sweep corners, then open areas. Look for mismatches and outlines. Circle back to suspicious spots. Don't rush — a slow, thorough sweep catches more than a fast random walk.

How do I find players hiding in OP spots?

Learn the OP spots from YouTube hiding-spot videos (Foltyn, KAYE, RoBros, Flamingo). Check these spots first every round. Even if a player is perfectly blended, checking the spot forces them to either stay frozen (and you might spot the blend) or move (and reveal themselves).
